The artwork is a beautiful Tibetan leather jewelry box wiht a handle bearing the pattern of chinese traditional style by hand made from china.These magnificent hand-painted leather and wood jewelry boxes are crafted by a small group of Tibetan artisans currently living outside of Beijing. Each jewelry box is constructed of wood and then completely covered with leather both inside and out. The piece boasts a flip-open top, with a brass clasp on the front which can be secured with a lock.The inside leather is meticulously hand-painted with various Chinese symbols and characters. The outside leather is dyed dark red, then hand-painted one of four designs: children playing, birds sitting in a tree, two dragons, or a dragon with a phoenix.The handcrafted nature of this product will produce slight variations in form and sizing.
